Sylvia Parsons

Vice President

Sylvia grew up in Georgetown, South Carolina and married Parsons Nursery founder, Louis Parsons in 1963. She’s also the mother of current Parsons president, Payton. Her hard work and steadfast dedication over the years has largely contributed to the success of this family business.

Why did you choose a career in the horticultural industry?

I married the boss.

What is your favorite thing about your job?

Working with the wonderful staff here and feeling the pride that comes from helping so many satisfied customers.

What is your favorite tree, shrub or perennial?

river birch, hydrangea, plumbago
